October 13, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm

$160.00

Join us for an edible conversation between a farm, a chef, and the community.

Our Community Table series continues into the Fall with a new cast of world-class chefs and a seasonal palette of fruits, vegetables, herbs, berries and flowers. By bringing these culinary artists back to the source, we give them an opportunity to connect with new ingredients, find fresh inspiration in our bio region’s historic foodways, and discover the rewards of relationship with the land.

CHEF CAMILLA MARCUS

Camilla Marcus is a chef, entrepreneur, activist, and mom of three dedicated to rethinking what it means to be a steward for our planet and future through the lens of food. Camilla’s pioneering hospitality business – west~bourne – was inspired by her California upbringing and began as the first mission-driven, zero-waste neighborhood restaurant in NYC. Since closing its doors in SoHo, west~bourne has expanded its mission of eating well and doing better into a collection of plant-based, zero-waste provisions for the home.

Camilla is committed to innovating across fields, from environmental activism to structural reform within the hospitality industry. She is a co-founder of ROAR (Restaurants Organizing Advocating Rebuilding), a founding member of the IRC (Independent Restaurant Coalition), and is committed to building a more equitable childcare system for working mothers.

Camilla has expanded west~bourne through partnerships such as Oishii, Ron Finley, and MAD Agriculture. Her chef star continues to rise in high demand, too, hosting events for brands like goop, Vogue, Revolve, Avaline, Perelel Health, and Tabayer, and hired by hosts like Aimee Song, Cameron Diaz, Tanya Taylor, and Whitney Port.

Camilla is an expert on sustainability and seeks to inspire a communal, considered approach to eating, gathering, and caring for the planet.

FAQ

DIETARY PREFERENCES
Community Table dinners are fixed course, family-style meals. As such, we cannot accommodate every dietary restriction. Please email us with any dietary needs.  We will try to accommodate for gluten intolerance allergies but let us know if there are any specific dietary restrictions for any of your guests.  We will do our best to accommodate anything beyond the 3 listed. If there are any life threatening allergies we recommend emailing before purchasing tickets.

SCHEDULE
Community Table Dinners begin at 6pm, when we’ll start with drinks and a farm tour. We appreciate timeliness as the dinner is coursed intentionally with just one seating. Dinners typically end around 10pm.

REFUNDS
We can offer refunds up to one week before the dinner.  In the case that you need to cancel last minute, we would be happy to work with you to pass along your tickets to friends or family members.
