Join us for a community gathering at our inaugural Day of Dead, a Grateful Dead-inspired event featuring live music, vendors, and farm food. Enjoy familiar flavors like our legendary Peace Pizza and an expanded cafe menu where the Grateful Day Grilled Cheese may just make its debut. Raise a toast with adult beverages from Laguna Brewing, Los Molinos, and Boochcraft, and let the good times roll in the spirit of peace, love, and fantastic food!

Event Details:

Time
Doors open at 11am, with our Shakedown Street vendor village and food and beverage options. Music starts at 12pm and goes until 6pm.

Rain
The forecast looks good for Saturday, so we’re all set to party. If there is last minute heavy rain scheduled for Saturday we will postpone and communicate further updates.

Parking & Transportation
We anticipate a lot of friends and families joining us! We highly recommend arriving via rideshare or public transit. We are 1.3 miles walking or biking from the San Juan Capistrano train station. The 91 bus takes you to the corner of Del Obispo and Camino del Avion (a short walk from the farm).

Please obey all parking signs, as we cannot take responsibility for off-site citations or towing.

Parking will be available in the following locations:

• The Ecology Center parking lot, will likely be full by 11:30am due to limited spots. We do not recommend looking for parking in the lot once the “Parking Lot Full” sign is put up, as like indicated, the lot will be full. If any attendee parks outside of a spot in a manner in which blocks passage, they will be towed instantly for safety/accessibility reasons.
• Alipaz St – both east and west sides of the street have parking available – the west side is typically not accessible for parking, where there is no sidewalk, but you will see special event parking signs that do permit parking day of.
  Camino del Avion street parking is available all the way up the road.
• Marco Forster Middle School and Del Obispo Elementary main lots (only!), off of Camino Del Avion will be first come first served.

Food & Bev
No outside food or beverage please. We will have various food and beverage options including Peace Pizza and Grilled Cheese Cafe (with ingredients from The Ecology Center.

We’ll also have multiple breweries, hard kombucha, and non alcoholic options for purchase.

ID’s will be checked for adult beverages.

Credit cards and exact cash will be accepted.

We will have water stations but no single use cups – please bring an empty reusable bottle for water refill.

Children’s Activities
As a family farm, we highlight the kid’s experience. We’ll have free Eco-Tots activities throughout the day for children 1-5 years old and a special Grateful Camp in 45 min sessions throughout the day for the older children.

Vendors
There will be 15 Dead-inspired vendors in our Shakedown Street vendor village. Please check them out and support the local artisans!

Rules
The Ecology Center is a family-friendly environment. We appreciate you keeping the space drug and smoke free. We will be asking those who break the rules to leave.

Low-back chairs are allowed.

We all enjoy a good local beverage, but this is not the environment for over-consumption. Please enjoy tastefully.

Pets
Please DO NOT bring your dogs (or any pets) as they will not be let in, for the safety of your pet and our community. Registered Service animals (not emotional support animals) are permitted.
