About the Facilitator
Māhā is a mindfulness facilitator and meditation teacher who has practiced meditation since 2014. He completed the UCLA Mindfulness Teacher Training Program and has studied mindfulness, relational mindfulness, Buddhist psychology, and trauma-sensitive approaches to meditation.
His work focuses on creating welcoming spaces for people to slow down, become more present, and explore deeper connection with themselves and others. Through guided meditation and relational practices, Māhā invites participants to discover what becomes possible when we take the time to truly listen, be present, and meet one another with openness and curiosity.
Who Am I?
with Māhā Mahyar Alahyari
We live in a world that rarely stops long enough to ask the questions that matter most. This gathering is an invitation to do exactly that.
Through guided meditation, a brief talk, and intimate two-person conversation through the practice of Relational Mindfulness, we’ll slow down together, become more present, and sit with a question many of us spend a lifetime avoiding:
“Who am I?”
What to Expect
We’ll begin with a brief introduction and overview of the workshop before settling into a 15–20 minute guided meditation, creating space to arrive fully in the present moment and connect with our inner experience.
From there, Māhā will introduce the practice of Relational Mindfulness and explore how presence and awareness can deepen not only our relationship with ourselves, but also the way we relate to others.
Before beginning the relational practices, we’ll establish shared agreements around presence, respect, confidentiality, authenticity, and care.
Participants will then pair up for two guided dyad practices using structured conversation and mindful listening. Together, we’ll practice slowing down, being present with another person, and noticing what arises within ourselves and in the space between us.
We’ll close by returning to the group for a sharing circle, with space to offer reflections or insights from the experience.
This workshop is an invitation to pause, connect, and explore what becomes possible when we give ourselves the time and space to be truly present with ourselves and one another.

Peace Dome activities help us reconnect to the land by sharing experiences that create reverence to the thousands of years old history of interconnectedness.
By coming together as a community, we are able to reflect on our relationship to this planet and this farm in order to help better steward it with a deep sense of peace. This work is just one of the ways in which we help envision a future of meaningful investment in our food, our neighbors, our children, and of course, this magical farm.
