Facilitator Bios
Marra & Tom St. Clair fell in love with Tea in 2021 and have been devoted to sharing bowl tea within Village Tea Hut, as part of the Global Tea Hut lineage ever since. For the past three years, they have served Tea in community as an invitation to remembering.
As students of the Way of Tea (Cha Dao), Marra and Tom offer this tradition not as teachers, but as stewards — inviting others into a quiet, nourishing space where simplicity becomes ceremony and stillness becomes a teacher of its own.
Their gatherings at The Ecology Center are an offering to the land, to the community, and to the unseen threads that connect us all. One bowl at a time.
TEA CEREMONY
The journey of Tea as plant spirit medicine began thousands of years ago and continues to meet us right where we are, in the here and now.
A gentle balm, Tea offers a respite to the busyness of our daily lives. Through this silent practice, the heart softens, and the spirit begins to open.
It is here that wisdom, clarity, and healing emerge and connect us to our highest Selves.
Tea is meant to be shared with all who seek it. In the spirit of Tea, we offer this ceremony from a place of abundance and generosity. No one will be turned away due to a lack of funds. The recommended range for the offering is a guide. If financial assistance is needed at this time, please use the code PEACETEA for a free sit.
The Ecology Center is sustained by each person who visits our farm. Your financial contribution is shared between TEC and Village Tea Hut, a fellow Orange County non-profit org, who is devoted to bringing this practice to our larger OC community.
What to Expect:
- Please arrive on time. You may wait in the Peace Portal until the ceremony is set to begin. Doors to The Dome will open at the Ceremony start time. We greatly appreciate your efforts to be on time, but if you are running late, please text us at (714)742-5137, so we know you are on your way.
- We invite you to silence your cell phones, and leave them, along with your shoes, and other items in the Peace Portal area, before entering the Dome.
- We enter the ceremony space in noble silence.
- Please wear comfortable clothing for sitting on the ground.
- Please refrain from wearing strong scents, as they may interfere with our collective Tea experience.
Peace Dome activities help us reconnect to the land by sharing experiences that create reverence to the thousands of years old history of interconnectedness.
By coming together as a community, we are able to reflect on our relationship to this planet and this farm in order to help better steward it with a deep sense of peace. This work is just one of the ways in which we help envision a future of meaningful investment in our food, our neighbors, our children, and of course, this magical farm.
