Join us under the stars for our summer documentary series.

This year’s Summer Film Series will be in partnership with Coast Film Festival. We will be collaborating with their team to raise the necessary funds to complete an artistic short film about The Ecology Center.

This July, join us for a special screening of “Morning of the Earth,” a timeless surf film celebrating its 50th anniversary. Originally released in 1972, this iconic film by Albert Falzon captured the beauty and soul of surfing with stunning visuals and a legendary soundtrack.

The film stars some of the world’s best surfers, but the film goes far beyond personalities. In the director’s own words:

“Morning of the Earth has stood the test of time and perhaps is more important today in view of the increased number of people on the planet and the demands they are having on its resources and ecosystems. We need more than ever to be reminded of this fragile system we have inherited and to a certain extent Morning of the Earth is a reminder that we are all truly responsible for our decisions and actions. It is important that we individually and collectively embody those qualities that will ensure that we live a sustainable life, not one based on overproduction and overconsumption but one based on sensitivity to all life and on all levels on this Earth. Morning of the Earth reflects in a simple way how we can endure and sustain and enjoy our life here and leave a small footprint and a better world in our passing.”

Experience the newly remastered version that has preserved the film’s legacy. Relive a national treasure that showcases the powerful surf of Australia, Bali, and Hawaii – all set against the backdrop of the Farm.

Farm Offering: We’ll have our culinary team serving up popcorn and sandwiches. Local beverage partners will be offering a variety of options.

Farm Stand Concessions: We will have an abundant concession stand offering Farm Stand snacks and beverages.

BYOC: Bring a low back chair or blanket to relax and enjoy the show.

Aside from the film, we have a lot of fun planned for the evening with food by The Ecology Center, beverages from Boochcraft and Project Social, activations by Vissla and Hobie, vending by Fungtion and Nomadix, live art demonstrations by Jason Woodside and a bike valet/test rides by Murf.
