Qigong | Traditional Practices for Clearing, Balancing, and Building Vital Energy
A beginner class in qigong movement practices for healing, balancing, building, and moving energy. Qigong practices are the traditional movement practices of Classical Chinese Medicine and martial arts. In these classes, you’ll learn simple, powerful qigong practices for clearing stagnation, and building and harmonizing your qi, or vital energy.
You are welcome to drop in or join regularly. Each class will emphasize a different aspect of the practice. Beginners are always welcome, and more advanced students will have the opportunity to deepen their practice each time.
Our practices draw from several qigong lineages, including Wild Goose, Jin Jing Gong, Five Element Qigong and others. The Five Elements are a way of understanding the energetics of the seasons in our bodies. Just as the farm shifts throughout the year, our bodies move through different seasons, with every breath, in every day, in every year. Each element is connected with particular functions in the body and particular emotions. The qigong you will learn in these classes will help you connect with these elements in your own body and mind, learning how to promote your own health with this time-honored wisdom.

Peace Dome activities help us reconnect to the land by sharing experiences that create reverence to the thousands of years old history of interconnectedness.
By coming together as a community, we are able to reflect on our relationship to this planet and this farm in order to help better steward it with a deep sense of peace. This work is just one of the ways in which we help envision a future of meaningful investment in our food, our neighbors, our children, and of course, this magical farm.
