About the Facilitator
Your field guide, Tamara Fancher, MPA-C, CMS-CHt, is a licensed clinician, author, and certified medical-support hypnotherapist who delights in bridging functional medicine, autonomic regulation, and agricultural stewardship. Treating the land as a partner in community wellness, she combines evidence-based somatic tools with deep nature immersion to design blueprints that empower both individuals and systems. By using our natural senses to consciously anchor ourselves within the living landscape, we aren’t just feeling better—we are actively re-weaving our individual nervous systems back into a larger, resilient web of life.
Rooted in Coherence: Medicine Walking w/ Tamara
Discover new ways to move, breathe, and feel more alive right here at The Ecology Center. Join us for a unique experience that goes far beyond traditional meditation practices. In this class, we use our farm landscape as a living laboratory to reset your nervous system and bring your body back into balance.
Through slow-paced walking, coherence breathing practices and sensory tuning in the vital outdoor environment, you will learn to move your body from “survival mode” into a state of deep energetic attunement. By interacting with the natural sounds, rich soil scents, and vibrant textures of the farm, you will walk away with practices for rapid relief—real-world tools to stop racing thoughts and help your body build resilience.
No special background is required—just bring your natural senses and an open mind. This class is intentionally welcoming to all ages and fitness levels, and it is perfect for anyone navigating a busy life, a restless mind, or a tired nervous system—seeking a tangible blueprint for lasting coherence.
What to Expect:
We’ll begin with simple somatic movements and HeartMath breathing to gently tune our physiology and re-calibrate our nervous system.
We’ll walk the farm together cultivating a specialized state of awake relaxed focus and increased absorption—to interrupt habitual mental loops and deepen mind-body communication.
We’ll explore “sensory stations” and “nature invitations” across the farm’s micro-environments—using our senses—taste, touch, scent, and interoceptive awareness—to connect with the land.
We’ll conclude our walk with fresh herbal tisane and a welcoming circle to share experiences and reflections within the group.
We’ll return home with a practical toolkit to manage stress and maintain coherence in our everyday environment.
Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for walking outdoors. Space is limited to ensure an intimate, high-quality experience for everyone. We warmly invite you to join us for this morning ritual of renewal and connection.
Peace Dome activities help us reconnect to the land by sharing experiences that create reverence to the thousands of years old history of interconnectedness.
By coming together as a community, we are able to reflect on our relationship to this planet and this farm in order to help better steward it with a deep sense of peace. This work is just one of the ways in which we help envision a future of meaningful investment in our food, our neighbors, our children, and of course, this magical farm.
