Prairie Prophecy explores a revolutionary way of thinking about agriculture - one rooted in nature, resilience, and long-term stewardship of the land.

Guided by the ideas of scientist-farmer Wes Jackson and the work of The Land Institute, the film examines how perennial and natural systems agriculture oer practical responses to soil loss, climate change, and the future of food. Through archival material, contemporary field research, and evocative imagery of the American Prairie, the film connects science, history, and lived experience to ask a timely public question: Can farming work in harmony with the ecosystems it depends on?

Thoughtful, visually rich, and grounded in decades of research, Prairie Prophecy invites viewers into a deeper conversation about sustainability, innovation, and our shared responsibility to the land.
