We are accepting applications for two positions during the months of January, Communications/Marketing Manager (full-time) and Graphic Designer (part-time), and one position in February, Director for Education and Community Change. Communications is central to the success of public and school-based programming and events at The Ecology Center. As an education center, we generate large amounts of content to be distributed within a robust digital and print communications suite including TheEcologyCenter.org, social media, print projects, on- and off-site signage. In brief: Part-time Graphic Designer
Our organization works to promote a wide range of ecological education programs including exhibitions, fundraisers, workshops, special events, digital campaigns and print publications. We are looking for someone who can design and produce for print and web, and who can approach the position with creativity, energy and imagination. This position with work with the Art Director, Executive Director, Communications team, and our NYC-based design partner Zago, to execute various design projects within our suite of programs and publications. You will be expected to have excellent communication skills, be well-versed in all production platforms, provide positive and creative input, and be able to meet deadlines. In brief: Director for Education and Community Change
The Director of Education and Community Change will report directly to the Executive Director, and will be responsible for the management and daily operations of The Ecology Center’s school programs, public programs, events and our general store. This includes managing a program budget between $400,000 and $600,000, 4-6 staff members and 30 + volunteers.
